Car Body Part Diagram
This diagram shows the different body parts of a car.
Front of the Car
- Hood: The hood covers the engine and other mechanical components.
- Fender: The fenders are the panels that cover the wheels.
- Headlight: The headlights provide illumination for driving at night.
- Grille: The grille allows air to flow into the engine.
- Bumper: The bumper protects the front of the car from damage in a collision.
Side of the Car
- Door: The doors allow passengers to enter and exit the car.
- Window: The windows allow passengers to see out of the car.
- Mirror: The mirrors allow the driver to see behind the car.
- Quarter panel: The quarter panels are the panels that connect the rear of the car to the sides.
Rear of the Car
- Trunk: The trunk is a storage compartment located at the rear of the car.
- Taillight: The taillights provide illumination for driving at night.
- License plate: The license plate identifies the car.
- Bumper: The bumper protects the rear of the car from damage in a collision.
Roof of the Car
- Roof: The roof protects the occupants of the car from the elements.
- Sunroof: A sunroof is a panel that can be opened to allow sunlight into the car.
- Antenna: The antenna receives radio signals.
Underneath the Car
- Frame: The frame is the structural foundation of the car.
- Engine: The engine is the power source for the car.
- Transmission: The transmission transfers power from the engine to the wheels.
- Driveshaft: The driveshaft connects the transmission to the rear wheels.
- Suspension: The suspension system absorbs shocks from the road.
