How to Remove Road Paint from Car Body
Materials You’ll Need
- Bucket
- Warm water
- Dish soap
- Sponge
- Microfiber cloth
- rubbing alcohol
- Clay bar
Steps
1. Wash the Car
The first step is to wash the car thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris that could scratch the paint. Use a bucket of warm water and dish soap and wash the car with a sponge. Rinse the car with clean water and dry it with a microfiber cloth.
2. Apply Rubbing Alcohol
Next, apply rubbing alcohol to a clean microfiber cloth and rub it over the road paint. The rubbing alcohol will help to dissolve the paint and make it easier to remove.
3. Use a Clay Bar
If the rubbing alcohol does not remove all of the road paint, you can use a clay bar. A clay bar is a type of cleaning putty that is used to remove dirt and debris from the surface of a car. To use a clay bar, wet the bar and the surface of the car. Then, rub the clay bar over the road paint. The clay bar will pick up the road paint and leave the surface of the car clean.
4. Wax the Car
Once you have removed all of the road paint, you should wax the car to protect the paint. Waxing the car will help to prevent future road paint from sticking to the car.
