Materials

  • Car wash soap
  • Water
  • Bucket
  • Sponge or wash mitt
  • Towel

Instructions

1. Rinse the car

Use a hose to rinse off any loose dirt or debris from the car. This will help to prevent scratches when you start washing.

2. Mix the car wash soap

Add car wash soap to a bucket of water according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Stir the mixture until the soap is completely dissolved.

3. Wash the car

Dip a sponge or wash mitt into the soapy water and gently wash the car. Start at the top and work your way down, rinsing the sponge or mitt frequently. Be sure to pay attention to the nooks and crannies of the car, where dirt can easily accumulate.

4. Rinse the car again

Once you have washed the car, use the hose to rinse off all of the soap. Be sure to rinse the car thoroughly, as any soap residue can leave streaks.

5. Dry the car

Use a clean towel to dry the car. Start at the top and work your way down, drying the car in sections. Be sure to dry the car completely, as any water left on the car can evaporate and leave water spots.
