2014 Manual Transmission Cars
Overview
In 2014, the manual transmission was still a popular option for drivers who enjoyed the sporty feel and control it provided. While automatic transmissions had become more popular in recent years, manual transmissions still offered a number of advantages, such as improved fuel economy, lower cost, and greater durability.
However, the popularity of manual transmissions had declined in recent years, as more and more drivers opted for the convenience of automatic transmissions. In 2014, only about 10% of new cars sold in the United States were equipped with manual transmissions.
