Procedure
- Park the Club Car on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
- Locate the transmission shift cable. It is located on the passenger side of the transmission, just below the engine.
- Loosen the 10mm locknut on the shift cable using the 10mm wrench.
- Turn the 13mm nut on the shift cable until the shift lever moves freely into all positions.
- Tighten the 10mm locknut to secure the adjustment.
- Test the shift cable by shifting the transmission into all positions. The shift lever should move smoothly and easily.
Tips
- If the shift cable is not adjusted properly, it can cause the transmission to slip or shift hard.
- It is important to check the shift cable adjustment regularly, especially after any maintenance or repairs have been performed on the transmission.
- If you are not comfortable adjusting the shift cable yourself, you can take the Club Car to a qualified mechanic.
