- Let the alcohol sit for a few minutes. Allow the alcohol to sit on the chrome surface for a few minutes to give it time to work. The longer the alcohol sits, the easier it will be to remove the chrome.
- Gently scrub the chrome with a toothbrush. Use a toothbrush to gently scrub the chrome surface. The toothbrush will help to remove the loosened chrome. Be careful not to scrub too hard, as you could damage the paint.
- Rinse the body with water. Rinse the body with water to remove any remaining alcohol or chrome residue. Be sure to dry the body thoroughly with a clean cloth.
- Wrap the body in plastic wrap. Wrap the body in plastic wrap and let it sit for 24 hours. This will allow the alcohol to completely evaporate and the chrome to fully dissolve.
- Unwrap the body and remove the remaining chrome. After 24 hours, unwrap the body and remove the remaining chrome with a cotton ball or swab. The chrome should come off easily, but if there are any stubborn spots, you can repeat the process.
