IMCA Stock Car Body Rules

General Rules

• All cars must meet the IMCA Stock Car Rulebook specifications.
• All cars must be painted a solid color, with no decals or graphics allowed.
• All cars must have a minimum of two doors.
• All cars must have a full-length hood and trunk.
• All cars must have a roof that is at least 54 inches high.
• All cars must have a windshield that is at least 30 inches wide.
• All cars must have side windows that are at least 18 inches wide.
• All cars must have a rear window that is at least 12 inches wide.

Specific Rules for Different Makes and Models

In addition to the general rules, there are also specific rules for different makes and models of cars.

Chevrolet

• 1978-1988 Chevrolet Malibu: Must use original Chevrolet Malibu rear bumper.
• 1989-1994 Chevrolet Lumina: Must use original Chevrolet Lumina rear bumper.
• 1995-2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo: Must use original Chevrolet Monte Carlo rear bumper.

Ford

• 1979-1986 Ford Fairmont: Must use original Ford Fairmont rear bumper.
• 1987-1991 Ford Thunderbird: Must use original Ford Thunderbird rear bumper.
• 1992-1997 Ford Taurus: Must use original Ford Taurus rear bumper.
• 1998-2007 Ford Crown Victoria: Must use original Ford Crown Victoria rear bumper.

Dodge

• 1979-1986 Dodge Aspen: Must use original Dodge Aspen rear bumper.
• 1987-1991 Dodge Daytona: Must use original Dodge Daytona rear bumper.
• 1992-1997 Dodge Intrepid: Must use original Dodge Intrepid rear bumper.
• 1998-2007 Dodge Charger: Must use original Dodge Charger rear bumper.

Pontiac

• 1979-1986 Pontiac Phoenix: Must use original Pontiac Phoenix rear bumper.
• 1987-1991 Pontiac Grand Prix: Must use original Pontiac Grand Prix rear bumper.
• 1992-1997 Pontiac Bonneville: Must use original Pontiac Bonneville rear bumper.
• 1998-2007 Pontiac Grand Prix: Must use original Pontiac Grand Prix rear bumper.

Penalties for Violations

Any car that does not meet the IMCA Stock Car Rulebook specifications will be penalized.

• First violation: Warning
• Second violation: $50 fine
• Third violation: $100 fine and loss of points
• Fourth violation: Suspension from competition
