History of the Kokomo Transmission Plant

The Kokomo Transmission Plant was built in 1950 and has been a major employer in the Kokomo area ever since. The plant produces transmissions for General Motors vehicles. In 2009, the plant was named one of the “Top 10 Auto Plants in North America” by Automotive News.

The Car Show

The Kokomo Transmission Plant Car Show is held annually on the first Saturday in June. The show takes place on the grounds of the plant, which is located at 2500 S. Reed Road in Kokomo, Indiana. The show is open to the public and admission is free.

How to Get to the Car Show

The Kokomo Transmission Plant is located at 2500 S. Reed Road in Kokomo, Indiana. The plant is easily accessible from Interstate 69. Take Exit 100 and head south on Reed Road. The plant will be on your left.
