* Locate the torque converter to flexplate bolts, which connect the torque converter to the engine’s flexplate.
 * Remove these bolts using a ratchet and socket.
5. Disconnect the Transmission Wiring and Lines
* Disconnect the electrical plugs, speed sensors, and any other wiring harness connectors attached to the transmission.
 * Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler lines using a line wrench.
6. Support the Transmission
* Place a floor jack under the transmission and raise it slightly to support it.

* Locate the transmission mounts, which connect the transmission to the vehicle’s frame.
 * Remove the bolts holding the mounts in place using a ratchet and socket.
8. Separate the Transmission from the Engine
* Carefully slide the transmission back from the engine until it clears the bell housing.
 * If necessary, use a pry bar or a long screwdriver to gently pry the transmission loose.
9. Remove the Transmission Completely
* Once the transmission is separated from the engine, lower it to the ground using the floor jack.
 * Roll the transmission out from under the vehicle.
10. Inspect and Replace Components
* Inspect the transmission for any damage or leaks.
 * Replace the transmission filter with a new one.
 * If necessary, replace any other components that show signs of wear or damage.
11. Reinstall the Transmission
* Carefully lift the transmission into place and align it with the engine.
 * Slide the transmission back into the bell housing and tighten the torque converter to flexplate bolts.
