How to Check the Transmission Fluid Level

Checking the transmission fluid level is an important part of maintaining your Smart Car. The transmission fluid helps to lubricate the gears and other moving parts of the transmission, and it also helps to dissipate heat. 9. Reinsert the dipstick and push it all the way in.
10. Close the hood.

How to Change the Transmission Fluid

• A new transmission filter

11. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
12. Check the transmission fluid level again and adjust it if necessary.
