Location of the Transmission Mount

The transmission mount is located on the bottom of the transmission, between the transmission and the subframe. It is a rubber mount that helps to absorb vibrations and noise from the transmission.

Removal of the Transmission Mount

1. Raise the vehicle on a jack and support it on jack stands.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the skid plate from the bottom of the engine.
4. Unbolt the transmission mount from the transmission.
5. Unbolt the transmission mount from the subframe.
6. Remove the transmission mount.

Installation of the Transmission Mount

1. Place the new transmission mount on the subframe.
2. Bolt the transmission mount to the subframe.
3. Bolt the transmission mount to the transmission.
4. Install the skid plate on the bottom of the engine.
5. Connect the negative battery terminal.
6. Lower the vehicle to the ground.

Tightening Torque

* Transmission mount to transmission: 45 ft-lbs
* Transmission mount to subframe: 65 ft-lbs

Tips

* It is important to use a new transmission mount when replacing the old one. A new mount will help to reduce vibrations and noise from the transmission.
* When tightening the transmission mount bolts, be sure to tighten them in a crisscross pattern. This will help to ensure that the mount is properly tightened.
* It is a good idea to inspect the transmission mount regularly for signs of wear or damage. If the mount is damaged, it should be replaced immediately.
