A-Body GM Cars
Overview
The GM A-body is a General Motors automobile platform that was produced from 1928 to 1996. It was used for a wide range of vehicles, including coupes, sedans, convertibles, and station wagons.
The A-body was introduced in 1928 as the platform for the Chevrolet Series AA. It was also used for the Pontiac Series 400, the Oldsmobile Series F, and the Buick Series 120.
First Generation
The first generation of the A-body was produced from 1928 to 1935. It was a rear-wheel-drive platform with a solid front axle and a leaf spring rear suspension.
