Instructions
- Cut the 4×4 steel tubing into two 6-foot pieces and two 4-foot pieces. These will form the main frame of the rotisserie.
- Cut the 2×4 steel tubing into two 4-foot pieces and two 2-foot pieces. These will form the cross braces for the frame.
- Weld the 4×4 steel tubing together to form a square frame. The 6-foot pieces should be on the sides and the 4-foot pieces should be on the front and back.
- Weld the 2×4 steel tubing to the inside of the frame to form cross braces. The 4-foot pieces should be welded to the front and back of the frame, and the 2-foot pieces should be welded to the sides.
- Cut the 1/2-inch steel plate into two 2-foot by 4-foot pieces. These will form the mounting plates for the car body.
- Drill four 1/2-inch holes in each mounting plate, evenly spaced around the perimeter.
- Weld the mounting plates to the top of the frame, one on each side.
- Cut the 1/4-inch steel plate into two 1-foot by 2-foot pieces. These will form the supports for the car body.
- Drill two 1/4-inch holes in each support plate, one on each end.
- Weld the support plates to the underside of the mounting plates, one on each side.
- Cut the 3/8-inch steel plate into two 1-foot by 2-foot pieces. These will form the stops for the car body.
- Drill two 3/8-inch holes in each stop plate, one on each end.
- Weld the stop plates to the support plates, one on each side.
- Cut the 1/2-inch steel rod into four 1-foot pieces. These will form the axles for the car body.
- Drill a 1/2-inch hole in each end of each axle.
- Insert a 1/2-inch steel bearing into each hole in each axle.
- Place a 1/2-inch steel washer on each end of each axle, and then insert a 1/2-inch steel nut onto each end.
- Tighten the nuts until the bearings are snug, but not too tight.
- Insert a cotter pin into each nut to prevent it from loosening.
- Place the axles onto the support plates, and then weld them in place.
- Cut the 2-inch steel pipe into two
