How to Remove Club Car DS Body
Step 1: Disconnect the Battery
Before you begin, it is important to disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shocks. The battery is located under the seat. To disconnect it, simply loosen the negative terminal (black wire) and then the positive terminal (red wire).
Step 2: Remove the Seat and Steering Wheel
Next, you need to remove the seat and steering wheel. To remove the seat, simply lift it up and off of the frame. To remove the steering wheel, you will need to use a wrench to loosen the nut that secures it to the steering column.
Step 3: Remove the Body Bolts
Once the seat and steering wheel are removed, you can begin to remove the body bolts. There are a total of 10 body bolts that need to be removed. They are located around the perimeter of the body. To remove them, simply use a wrench or socket.
Step 4: Lift the Body Off
Once all of the body bolts are removed, you can lift the body off of the frame. This may require some help from a friend or family member. Be careful not to damage the body or the frame.
Step 5: Disconnect the Wires
Once the body is off, you will need to disconnect the wires that are connected to it. These wires are located under the body. To disconnect them, simply use a pair of pliers to squeeze the terminals together and then pull them apart.
Step 6: Remove the Body
Once all of the wires are disconnected, you can remove the body. To do this, simply lift it up and off of the frame. Be careful not to damage the body or the frame.
