How to Spray Paint RC Car Body
Materials Needed
- RC car body
- Sandpaper (120-grit and 220-grit)
- Masking tape
- Primer
- Spray paint
- Clear coat
Step 1: Prepare the RC Car Body
Start by removing any dirt or debris from the RC car body. Use sandpaper to sand the surface of the body to create a smooth finish. Start with 120-grit sandpaper and then move to 220-grit sandpaper.
Step 2: Mask the RC Car Body
Use masking tape to cover any areas of the RC car body that you do not want to paint. This includes the windows, headlights, and taillights.
Step 3: Prime the RC Car Body
Apply a thin coat of primer to the RC car body. This will help to create a smooth surface for the paint to adhere to.
Step 4: Spray Paint the RC Car Body
Once the primer has dried, you can start to spray paint the RC car body. Use light, even strokes to apply the paint. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next coat.
Step 5: Clear Coat the RC Car Body
Once the paint has dried, you can apply a clear coat to protect the paint from scratches and fading. Apply the clear coat in the same way that you applied the paint.
Step 6: Remove the Masking Tape
Once the clear coat has dried, you can remove the masking tape. Be careful not to peel off any of the paint.
Step 7: Enjoy Your Newly Painted RC Car Body
Your RC car body is now painted and ready to race! Enjoy the new look of your car.
