13. Locate the transmission fluid filler plug. The filler plug is usually located on the side of the transmission pan.
14. Remove the filler plug.
15. Insert the funnel into the filler hole.
16. Add new transmission fluid until it reaches the “full” mark on the dipstick.
17. Replace the filler plug.
18. Start the engine and allow it to idle for a few minutes.
19. Shift through all of the gears and then check the transmission fluid level again. The fluid level should be between the “full” and “low” marks on the dipstick.
