Was a Body Found in Breonna Taylor’s Car?
On March 13, 2020, Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old EMT, was shot and killed by Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers who entered her apartment using a no-knock warrant.
The officers were executing a search warrant for a suspected drug dealer who they believed was inside Taylor’s apartment. However, the suspect was not in the apartment, and Taylor was not involved in the drug trade.
The LMPD officers fired 22 shots into Taylor’s apartment, striking her eight times. Taylor died at the scene.
