Where Do I Put Transmission Fluid in My Car?
Step 1: Locate the Transmission Dipstick
The transmission dipstick is usually located in the engine compartment, near the back of the engine. It will have a red or orange handle and will be labeled “Transmission.” Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag.

Step 5: Replace the Dipstick
Once the fluid level is correct, replace the dipstick in the transmission. Make sure that the dipstick is fully inserted into the transmission.
